Honda Wave 100cc

Recently i booked a motorcycle Honda Wave 100cc at Sri Muda(Shah Alam)

most of my friends, course mates , housemates...

buy and service their motor here because it's near to where we live

yet the Boss & workers here are friendly.

i planned and booked a Blue colour Modenas Kriss 100cc

year 2006@RM1.6K at Taman Sentosa via Mudah.my

going to pay cash and ride the bike home on the same day too.

since i pass by a motor Shop at Sri Muda,

why don't i take this oppurtunities to do some survey

before i commit to a farer place at Taman Sentosa?

Since it's nearer.

So this's the first motorcycle shop i survey during 20th January 2010

accompany by my course mate(Remy)

5 basic Terms & Condition(T&C)

1st : be clear what kind of motorbike are we looking for.

answer: Modenas Kriss or Honda Wave

2nd : new or 2nd Hand

answer: 2nd hand

3rd: Insurance

answer: 3rd party if available(it's hard to get 3rd party insurance)

4th : date for name transfer(JPJ summon issue)

answer : must bare by the owner/seller

5th: budget & payment

answer:

the first thing i did when i arrived the shop,

i survey and see what kind of motorcycle they got here:

Modenas Kriss = 6 unit

Honda Wave = 5 unit

ask and understand the condition and price of the motor selected.

then test the motorbike at back lane without helmet

(police station located end of the same building)

here's the list of 2nd hand motorbike i tested:

-Honda C70 year 1980 spend more than 10times start

after replaced a new spark plug(not confident with it)

-a black Modenas Kriss 110cc just done overhaul(new Block)

and haven't fully replace the cover set been tested

Feedback: great performance, but reg@year 1999

-another Modenas Kriss 100cc year 2006

with sport rim and tubeless tyres @ RM1.2K

Feedback: exhaust pipe cracked,

not power enough during full throttler @ 2nd gear

-Honda Wave100c year 2003

feedback: power enough but feel hard to press

on the front gear pedal(not smooth)

i choose the Modenas Kriss 100cc because it's the cheapest among all the bike

as he promise he'll repair all the part include the cracked exhaust

and replace a new cover set service the bike for me @RM1.2K

this's the sales closing part, i commit to 3rd party insurance.
this shop serve P&O insurance: (RM104/annual)

for my age and motor age <5years

motor(RM1.2K) + insurance(RM104)

+ name transfer(settle with the owner at JPJ = RM5)

while i wanna pay for the down payment,

he Paused me and said : "Sorry!!! can't deal at that price."

his own cost at RM1.4 , how is he going to sell me at RM1.2K?

He said need to cover his Shop maintenance,

water & electric (RM100), workers (RM100), repair(RM200)

= Minimum also RM1.8K + (insurance)

straight away i give up this Choice.

(i feel Sad that time when i lost a chance that i though can get a reasonable price motorcycle)

so my 2nd option definitely will be the Honda Wave 100cc year 2003

as tested, good condition but the hard gear pedal

the Boss(Ah Tee) open the price @ RM1.5K
me as client surely i'll ask for discount.
he reply how much you want?

as the Kriss case happened just now not even enough to cover the shop.

the way he deal with me , please don't cut the price but i give you

free gift : Helmet & Lock

i request a free Raincoat as well(cost RM50),

he only sell quality one, no pirate one..

he can't give now since it's still expensive during this time,

he ask me to buy it few month later

because the price going to drop soon in near future. (good advise but out of my topic) Lol

i ask him give me free tubeless tyres since there's Sport Rim already

and a new non-maintenance battery...

service all the part include break lamp, signal , engine oil, spark plug, new handle... ...

conclusion i need to spent RM1.8k to get this bike...=.=

well i agree since it's superb condition

(can ride long distance from Shah Alam to Thailand no problem) Lol

as he said name transfer will done within a week. i'll be patient and wait for the good news.

well, There's 2 option.

1) downpayment on the first day and they will service the motor,

may collect on second day with full payment.

fast and effective.(the name transfer will be done within one to two weeks time)

2) downpayment on the first day and wait one to two weeks time to collect your bike for the name transfer done with fullpayment.

i buy my 2nd hand Honda Wave100 here with 2nd Option.(do enjoy the period of Waiting)^^

During the waiting period,

my parent said it's not suppose to take a long long time to wait for the bike since this a shop.

they have runner to JPJ everyday to settle the name transfer.

do not pay in advance if haven't confirm the name transfer(self Protect)

a week and week passed.......

i phone him 3 to 4 times every week...

his reply:

" JPJ Selangor become very straight(need Pass)"
"next week"

"he's still applying pass for runner"

"Next week before Wednesday"
"can't janji since JPJ need pass"

"Submit already"

"Wait for the Pass"
"sorry, Next week conform OK!!"

my parent also phone several times a week with the same topic about the motorcycle.

they don't really like me ride a motorbike and what will happen if i buy one? Lol

keep on advise me not wait since there's grand problem on name transfer on the motorbike,

you may suffer or headache if there's any problem in the future.

i discuss with friends about my situation

untill today one of my friend offer his bike

(Honda Wave 100 year 2004) @ RM1.6k

include name transfer and 1st party insurance,

can settle on next working day at Klang(Meru).

i SMS the Boss of KST BIKER noon time that i'm going to reserve my friend's bike

by giving the answer today if he really can't make the name transfer.

he really phone me in time before i step out of my house to view my friend's bike.

Well, here he explain about his difficulty,

he tried his best while there's so much resistance from JPJ and insurance company...

in the 10 minutes conversation,

he explain almost everything and want me to understand

what he done during the pass 2 weeks.

-1st week he submit the grand for name transfer process,

been rejected by JPJ because the previous owner haven't settle down

the previous of EAON insurance issue.

-2nd week , he re-submit the grand,

JPJ reject it again because the EAON insurance

not clear and lack of paper work...

he personally go to EAON insurance

and make sure the person on duty certified the grand approve

and resubmit at the same week,

but he failed to do so because the security of JPJ Selangor

suddenly become very Straight. Rule-rules.

some Grand missing in JPJ suspect runner did it

he need to apply pass to get access in to the JPJ office(Runner only)

-3rd week still on process applying pass for his runner.

submit already.

He Promise i'll get the bike before Chinese New Year.

as human being, we learnt Give & Take(G&T)

we should understand people's difficulties,

don't take this advantage force others to the dead end,

i believe he should know to offer special promotion to

this kind of client who know to G&T

will comment after i got my bike
