Located in Bukit Lagong Forest Reserve at about 300m above sea level, this walkway was constructed in 1992 with aid from the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ). The walkway system spans about 200m and is suspended between trees at about 30m above ground.
The main species on which this system is suspended are Chukrasia tabularis (Surian batu), Intsia palembanica (Merbau), Prterocymbium javanicum (Melembu), Artocarpus elasticus (Terap nasi) and Scaphium spp (Kembang Semangkuk).
The walkway system and the platforms are vantage points from which one experiences a panoramic view of the forest. Beside this, the walkway system functions as a platform for scientific study of canopy flora and fauna. The trail to the walkway is uphill, steep and physically demanding. Walking time, one way, is 30-45 mins, depending on the route chosen, your group size and level of fitness. The average time taken for the round trip is 2 hours
